Charles is a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the Centre for Primary Care at the University of Manchester, working in Health Economics. His work focuses on informal (unpaid) caregiving, the measurement, predictors and outcomes of it, and its interactions with the labour market. His other work has identified caregivers using the Time Use Survey module in wave 7 of the UKHLS, as well as people’s attitudes to caregiving in the BHPS
