Hina obtained her first degree (BA) in Psychology from Lahore College for Women University followed by a postgraduate degree in Psychology (MSc) from Government College University Lahore, Pakistan. After completing her MSc, she worked as a Lecturer in Psychology at H.I Degree College for Women, Lahore for three years. Later on, in order to further enhance her research skills she did a postgraduate degree in Research Methods (MRes) in Psychology from University of Essex. After completing her MRes, she worked as a Research Specialist at First Advantage Europe for two years. She returned to University of Essex in 2014 for her PhD in Health Psychology. Her research interests involve cultural influences on health. How people in different cultures perceive, represent and manage illnesses. Currently, she is working as a Senior Research Data Services Officer in the Research Data Management section at the UK Data Archive based at University of Essex. This section promotes and provides guidance, support and training on data management, data management planning and data sharing to researchers and data producers, in order to promote good data practices in research and to optimise data sharing opportunities.
