Ayal Kimhi

Ayal Kimhi occupies the Sir Henry d'Avigdor Goldsmid Chair in Agricultural Economics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He also serves as Vice President of the Shoresh Institution for Socio-Economic Research. He has a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago (1991), and has held visiting positions at the Universities of Maryland, Yale, Pennsylvania, Nagoya, Leuven, Sydney and at the Paris School of Economics. He previously served as Deputy Director of the Taub Center for Social Policy Studies in Israel and as Director of Research at the Center for Agricultural Economic Research. His current research focuses on income inequality, labor market policy, intergenerational mobility, education and fertility, old-age security, and structural changes in agriculture
