Giacomo is from Rome, Italy and is currently in his second year as an ISER PhD student in Economics at the University of Essex, funded by SeNSS.

His research interests lie in child health, health economics, households’ economics, and applied economics.

His PhD project focuses on Pregnancy and Early Childhood: in particular, the first chapter explores the association between parental unemployment and child health, while in the second chapter he is looking at the broad concept of “parenting styles
