Daniel Wheatley is Reader in Business and Labour Economics at the University of Birmingham, UK. Daniel’s research contributes to debates in labour economics and the sociology of work focusing on time-use and well-being including investigating workplace well-being, job quality, work-life balance, flexible working, remote and hybrid work and spatial dimensions of work including work-related travel. Daniel additionally investigates other dimensions of well-being including digital well-being, impacts of leisure time use and the household division of labour. Daniel is author of Time Well Spent: Subjective Well-being and the Organization of Time, and Well-being and the Quality of Working Lives
