Nicole is a Senior Research Officer for the Understanding Society Methodology team. Her research interests are survey participation, nonresponse and youth nonresponse. She also completed a PhD in Survey Methodology and her thesis is titled Understanding Participation in a Long-Term Household Panel Study: Evidence from the UK.

From 2017-2024, she was a Survey Data Officer and worked on the Data Receipt and Data Release teams for Understanding Society. This involved data processing (both while the data is in field and after the fieldwork period has finished), writing and implementing quality assurance checks, liaising with the fieldwork agency, and improving the current processes by writing programs in Stata to increase efficiency.
